As we all know steel pipes or Tubular steel are hollow steel
structures which have been remotely inspired by the way nature works and mould
itself. The maximum utilization of storage and transfer of water cells in
plants or even water retention in the trunk of the plant explain to us
sustainable ways to utilizing hallow structures. Every discover, invention and
innovation is an inspiration from nature. Scientists and Engineers have developed
sustainable techniques and started to walk towards technological advancements.
Amidst the various innovations- Tubular Steel stands as one innovative
development too.
These steel tubes come in various sizes, shapes, thickness, grades and
finishes. Based on the stock and the finish and the purpose of application-
flexibility and strength will vary. There are different kinds of tubular steel-
mainly cold rolled steel, hot rolled and stainless tubular steel. As the name
suggests, hot rolled tubes are a result of a procedure where the tube is formed
after heating the metal stock beyond the crystallization temperature, in its
molten state the tube is casted and given shape.
So is Cold steel tube- the
procedure of making the cold steel tube is an extension of that of the hot
rolled steel tube. After the molten state of the metal stock, the steel is made
to cool down and the cold steel tube is formed by flattening the cold steel
with the help of rollers. They are then casted and shaped to form cold rolled
tubes. This procedure helps extend the melting point of the steel. Hot-rolled
tube can be heated to a plastic state and forced through forms to make I-beam,
plate, channel, angle, tubing, piping and other shapes. Cold-rolled steel is
usually processed through rollers to make plates, rods, squares and other
limited shapes. Cold-rolled steel is put through successive rollers to make
steel tubes.
Due to its high resistant characteristics and
that it will last longer, steel tubes have been the most highly demanded material
used for construction or any other purpose and the production of steel tubes
has seen an all time rise.
